Who are you at the agency and what do you do?
I'm a video maker, so I spend most of my time behind the camera and camera lens. At thesign.digital, I deal with film creation, visual and film communication — all based on the strategy of presenting the brand developed with the client. The physical products of my work can be viewed as product films, events and — increasingly common in Poland — employer branding.
Why do you do what you do?
We live fast. We are bombarded with stimuli. No wonder it's hard for us to remember what we did yesterday... let alone the magical aura of a weekend in Masurian ravines 3 years ago! So I film to capture moments. To stretch here and now in time and perpetuate reality as I remembered it, how I felt it. The film gives you the opportunity to create your own world and transmit this vision to others. And you yourself know that an idea sown in the consciousness of another person... maybe everything
What motivates you?
People. After all, they stand on both sides of any project: both as its creators and as its recipients. Getting to know each other, sharing experiences, and — finally — observing their reaction to the effect of my work is the most rewarding part of this film life that I have chosen for myself. Interestingly, I learn the most today not strictly on the film set, but everywhere around it. After all, the work of our team (made up of thesign.digital members and the crew of our clients) goes much further — through marketing, strategy and new technologies, to the very top of the art through the big “S”.
What's your story?
It all started with Dad. He was a photography fanatic — and he bequeathed me his beloved old Zenit and some Helios lenses. Despite the fact that at that time my life was already filled to the brim with graphics and printing engineering, I swallowed a bug. I lived in Berlin at the time and walked through its empty streets at night, looking for a pretext for more interesting shots. After several years of traveling around Europe, I returned to Poland with pleasure, with new skills... and with better equipment! And although at first I used the camera mainly for entertainment, the fun did not suddenly turn into a passion of life. And passion — to work. I wanted to know and do more and more, I felt a hunger for science and the increasing layers of creativity in me. I got into a one-year series of trainings with the best camera operators in Poland. And when my shots began to interest lecturers from the international scene, I became convinced that this is where I belong. I quickly became the main operator of a drone and camera, a screenwriter and a director at the Pila television. Privately (as the owner of my own business) I fulfilled myself in artistic and advertising creation. In order to better understand the needs of clients and launch projects at an ever higher level, I explored the secrets of strategy and marketing. The life of my dreams began... and it continues to this day!
What are you passionate about?
Climbing and mountains. And although I am still a mountaineer - an amateur, I fell into this sport to the tips of my ears! The peace and quiet that reigns among the rocks can restore balance like nothing. And the focus that climbing necessarily forces, effectively displaces all the metropolitan hype from your head. Thanks to her, I catch a fresh look and a new perspective on all the issues and projects that I live with every day.
You and your work in 3 words are...
Filmed, creative and engaged.
